X-Wing Model Kit

I purchased an X-wing kit from 1978 and this kit was actually used during the production of The Empire Strikes Back, particularly when two x-wings are escorting the escape of a transport ship off Hoth.

My goal was to teach myself painting techniques used by ILM. Although accuracy wasn’t my goal, I was able to learn a few painting techniques for model making.

PropStore recently had an auction for this particular X-Wing model, so I used the auction’s images as reference
